Calstock Parish Local History Group

The group was formed in April 1999, and has some 200+ members.  We meet on the last Saturday of the winter months at Tamar Valley Methodist Church, Albaston to listen to a talk given by one of the group, or a visitor.  During the summer months, different visits or field trips are organised. Charge to attend the meetings is  £1.50 for members and £3 for non-members. Everyone is welcome.
The group publishes a newsletter, called Tamar History, three times a year with reports of recent meetings and a brief look at news and research.
Membership fees are £7 per annum + £6 post and packing if you live outside of the parish. You can opt to receive your newsletter via email and avoid the £6 pp charge. All overseas members will receive their copy via email.
We are formally affiliated to Calstock Parish Archive, with 50% of the subscriptions being donated to the Calstock Parish Archive Trust.

Benefits of becoming a member include a free copy of Tamar History three times a year and 50% reduction of entrance fees to Calstock Parish Local History Group Events.
